MCG guarantees production of heated floors for Alstom Metropolis

MCG transportation will produce 212 heated floors for installation in Alstom Metropolis subway trains purchased by Réseau Express Métropolitain in Montreal, Canada.

The project consists of a floor with an integrated heating system developed entirely by MCG in accordance with the experience gained in the development of other heated floors produced for Alstom and other world-renowned manufacturers.

With production at the Alstom plant in Bangalore, India, the Metropolis for the Réseau Express Métropolitain is a driverless metropolitan model with a design inspired by the Samuel De Champlain bridge connecting the cities of Montreal and Brossard. The comfort of the passengers is the priority in the design of these carriages, with a strong contribution of the heating system that MCG integrates into these 212 structural floors.

The design of the Metropolis is further complemented with large doors, panoramic windows, acoustic insulation, anti-vibration systems and interior spaces that facilitate the movement of passengers.

At an accelerated pace of growth, MCG transportation is today one of the leading suppliers of components and systems for interiors of trains with the world’s largest manufacturers in this area of business. Alstom is one of these great world players, with several projects in production at MCG:
