At MCG for ten years, Helena works at Metal5 [MCG Transportation] and manages the cleaning, assembly, and packaging processes in train floor manufacturing.
Embracing new challenges
What motivates me the most in my daily work is to have my team with me and achieve a highly productive performance.
I’m motivated by managing the factory’s day-to-day operations and dealing with the pressure that exists in the life of a factory.
And above all, I’m motivated by making things happen.
Improving what we do
We have a good working environment, and I really enjoy working at Metal5.
We work as a team, people communicate, and I think there is merit in our work.
Metal5 has bonding and assembly processes, which are essential in the factory’s business, but we also coordinate very well with the Quality team, which does an excellent job certifying our panels [train flooring].
New projects
MCG Transportation has very interesting projects.
They are large-scale projects, as we produce rail panels that leave MCG ready for the customer, with the floor covering already in place.
And this makes all the projects value-added and very interesting.
Learning to evolve
We learn every day from our projects.
There are challenges every day, and there is a group of engineers who help us, who challenge us, and from whom we learn a lot.
But it’s the projects that bring us a lot of knowledge.
Working at MCG
MCG is a company that provides many benefits to its employees.
In addition to the canteen, we have a family doctor and nursing care.
These are things that bring comfort and help in people’s daily lives.
Furthermore, we have a CEO who is focused on progress, who invests heavily in technological production processes, who invests in educated and qualified people, and the factory’s productivity reflects that.
