At MCG for about two years, Inês Rodrigues in the MCG’s Supply Chain teams as a Purchase Technician.
In this video, we learn a little more about Inês’s day, who enjoys “the ‘movement’ of following purchase orders” and knowing that her work is essential, as others depend on what she does every day.
Here are the main parts of our conversation with Inês Rodrigues:”
The importance of the Supply Chain
“I feel my work is essential because, as I mentioned before, I know other people depend on my role and my work.
If I don’t do my job as expected, these people won’t be able to advance in their work.
So, there’s a whole interconnection driving the company’s activities forward”.
Improving what we do
“In two areas: in the purchasing tracking part, because I find this task to be quite complex.
It involves managing expectations, and it’s not always easy. And in the speed at which things happen.
Everything moves very quickly, and we need to know how to react”.
Learning something new every day
“At MCG, I have a challenge: learn something new every day.
My leader encouraged me in that direction, and I want to learn something new daily.
So, I believe that, in the company, we can learn something new every day”.
Preparing for the future
“I think MCG is heading towards a sustainable path.
Our projects are the best example of that.
From making parts for electric cars to electric car charging stations, we are gradually keeping up with the world, and that’s quite positive for the company’s evolution.
When I talk about MCG with my family, friends, and boyfriend, I mention the family-like atmosphere in the company and talk about the innovative projects that MCG has developed over time.
And how much the company has evolved.
Starting in the automotive sector and then taking risks with different business areas like MCG Industry and MCG Transportation is indeed a risk, and it’s a risk that has been successful. I think it’s commendable”.
