Gonçalo Teixeira works as Cutting and Programming Supervisor at MCG, especially on MCG Transportation and MCG Industry business units projects.
Helping “make people as independent as possible as a team” is one of Gonçalo’s biggest challenges, contributing, among other things, to “not always expect others (or their superiors) to solve any problems”. He likes it “when people get together as a team and try to solve any problem”.
But there’s more… Please read the interview with this MCG Employee and get to know his MCG Story:
Do you feel like you keep learning something new every day?
When we have challenges with customers with a high degree of demand, as a team we have to look for new solutions.
Whenever this happens we are acquiring new knowledge. And this is very positive for our growth.
Is MCG a company that promotes people’s evolution?
Yes, I feel that the company allows people to evolve.
But there must also be a willingness from our colleagues to learn. This is the starting point for them to evolve in their careers.
How do you see the relationship between Employees at MCG?
In addition to a very professional environment, there is also a good relationship between colleagues at MCG on the human side.
And I think I also participate in cultivating these good relationships between people.
What does it take to manage a team?
I think it’s important to be humble, to know how to recognize mistakes, and to know how to recognize them in front of the team, if possible.
And be a responsible and reconciler person with the ability to resolve conflicts and not generate such conflicts.
What does it mean to be part of the MCG family?
I have a lot to thank MCG for all these years which the company has allowed me to grow. The company has always given me the opportunity to show what I know and can do.
And I think this is a feeling that is present in many people who are here. I think people feel that for whatever they need, the company will be on their side to support them in every possible way.
