The first unit of the TGV M is ready. TGV M is the power car that will drive the Alstom Avelia Horizon high-speed train, scheduled to enter into service in 2024 in France. And the structure of the main cabin of this high-speed train integrates floors developed and produced by MCG transportation.
This new train is an eco-designed TGV that benefits from the know-how of the best experts from Alstom. As a more innovative and efficient train that is a first in Europe, the entire structure of Avelia Horizon follows a more compact, simplified, and rationalized architecture. So, a new generation floor system developed by the MCG transportation engineering and production teams will be part of it.
The return of energy to the catenary during braking, eco-driving and the increasingly aerodynamic shape of the nose allow overall energy savings of around 20%.
