MCG was selected to develop and manufacture the floors that will be part of the regional trains that Stadler will supply in 2024 to Renfe, the largest railway operating company in Spain.
With the development phase already running, the MCG Transportation business unit will soon start the manufacturing of composite floors for installation in the cars that compose the 59 trains that Stadler will produce in Valencia for Renfe.
The models will be the Stadler Flirt 160, a single-deck equipment, and the Stadler Kiss 160, the two-deck version of the same train. The floors developed by MCG and every car component were designed to reduce passengers’ entry and exit time, with wide areas to facilitate people with reduced mobility movements and bicycles transport, for example.
This project continues MCG Transportation development approach: to present the customer with a complete and optimized solution in terms of product design, engineering, and production, meeting their specific needs.
With this project and the beginning of a relationship with this new and prestigious customer, MCG takes another step in its evolution as a European industry prepared to supply high-quality products to any part of the globe.
