Through its MCG Transportation business area, MCG has been awarded a new project in train floor development and manufacturing. In its largest project to date, MCG Transportation has been selected to manufacture the floors for 500 passenger cars and 200 driver cabins of the Coradia Stream trains that Alstom will supply to DSB, the largest railway operating company in Denmark.
The floors to integrate these trains are composite floor units with radiant heating, a complete and optimized solution in terms of product design, engineering, and manufacturing, meeting the specific needs of this customer.
After the development phase, this project’s production plan foresees deliveries between 2023 and 2028 at Alstom’s production facilities in Katowice, Poland.
