The Innovation Pact – Produtech R3 is structured into 15 transformative programs, which are grouped into five distinct and complementary areas:
- A – Customization of products and proximity production;
- B – Adaptive, collaborative and competitive production;
- C – Interoperable, intelligent, and autonomous production systems;
- D – New technologies for the production and use of advanced materials;
- E – Efficiency in the use of resources and direct integration of renewable energies in production processes.
The activities of the project and the entire Produtech R3 consortium aim to develop new products and services for the industry through collaboration between FTP companies, companies in the user sectors, and ENESIIs (Non-Business Entities of the R&I System), designed to promote synergies in terms of technological development and applicability in a wide number of user sectors.
Produtech R3 is also made up of three horizontal programs aimed at related complementary areas, such as training and training, internationalization and qualification, and two support programs aimed at the broad dissemination of the initiative and its results, as well as management and coordination. global agenda.
The Produtech R3 project aims to induce a structuring change in the Production Technologies Sector (PTS), enabling it to leverage significant investments that the industry will make during the green and digital transition. This initiative seeks to reduce external technological dependence, increase the added value generated in the country, and contribute to a change in the specialization of the Portuguese economy.
Founded on a partnership involving 108 companies and other entities from the PTS, key industry sectors, and the scientific and technological system, the project envisions the collaborative development of 85 new innovative products and services. These will be demonstrated in over 52 pilots within user sectors, accompanied by complementary actions in education and training, internationalization, dissemination, and strengthening of the PTS. The goal is to induce a structural change and create a true innovation ecosystem in the field of production technologies, that is dynamic and sustainable.
Among other contributions, MCG actively participates in the Transformative Program WP15: E – Efficiency in the use of resources and direct integration of renewable energies into production processes.
