MCG celebrated the close of its 75th anniversary year in a special way with the MCG Christmas Dinner – 75th Anniversary Special and a memorable party at the Convento do Beato in Lisbon.
Around 600 people – current employees, former MCG employees who retired, and several partners and friends of the company – gathered for an evening marked by emotion, recognition, and a strong sense of belonging.
The MCG “family”
The celebration began with a welcome cocktail, creating the ideal setting for reunions, long conversations, and the sharing of memories between different generations who build MCG every day.
There was something in the air that went beyond a simple celebration: it was the gathering of a true community, united by shared values and a history built over decades.
This was followed by the MCG Awards ceremony, one of the central moments of the evening.
Teams and employees who won the MCG Safety Championship and the MCG Positive Actions programme, in the areas of productivity and safety, were recognised.
These distinctions reflect a daily commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, and rigour.
Words that stay with us
In one of the most emotional moments of the night, José Graça Medeiros addressed everyone present in a heartfelt speech of thanks.

A message for the future
As had already happened at the MCG Mega Arraial in June, the Time Capsule once again played a role in this 75th anniversary celebration.
All participants were challenged to take an instant photograph and write a message addressed to the future MCG.
Photographs and messages were placed in the Time Capsule, which was sealed on this special night and will be opened in 2050, symbolising the connection between generations and confidence in the company’s future.
Celebrating together
After dinner, the party continued with the traditional entertainment provided by the “ever-present” DJ Douglas.
The dance floor became the perfect mirror of MCG culture: from management to production lines, everyone shared the same atmosphere of closeness, friendship, good spirits, and celebration.
The MCG 75th Anniversary Dinner was an intense night, filled with energy, memories, gratitude, and pride.
A night that confirmed what has always defined MCG: more than an industrial company, it is a “family” built on work, mutual support, perseverance, and innovation – with a confident outlook towards the future.
