Last April MCG renewed the ‘Gold Medal’ awarded by the EcoVadis platform, a recognition that the company has held for three years, which is based on
the work developed around four fundamental pillars for the MCG’s corporate social responsibility: ‘Environment’, ‘Labor Practices’, ‘Ethics’ and ‘Sustainable Purchasing’.

The performance that motivates the award of this ‘Gold Medal’ to MCG showed an improvement of five percentage points compared to the results recorded in the previous year (67% in this edition, referring to 2020, instead of 62% in 2019). This ranking results from MCG’s improvement in the ‘Sustainable Purchasing’ field.

Obtaining this ‘Gold Medal’ becomes possible thanks to the commitment of all employees and teams to the continuous improvement strategy at MCG. »
That’s why this recognition, in addition to placing us at the highest international standards of corporate social responsibility, reinforces the reason why our customers and partners can continue to trust MCG.

Environmental management certification

Among other certifications held by MCG, the company’s environmental management system is also recurrently submitted to audits under the ISO 14001:2015 standard. The recertification audit took place in the first half of 2021, in which MCG saw just two minor situations of non-compliance identified, which allowed the renewal of the certification process.

These results reinforce the commitment assumed regarding the compliance to the environmental legislation and, also, the involvement of all teams
in promoting the environmental performance of MCG’s activity.
