The recent meeting between MCG, Streak, and Sarkkis Robotics officially marks the start of PPS19 – Smart Feed System, one of the new PPS added to the projects and initiatives of the Hi-rEV Mobilizing Agenda.
PPS19 – The Smart Feed System is a project designed to reinvent how machining cells operate, featuring intelligent automation, advanced sensors, flexible intralogistics, and integrated metrology. All designed to make production more agile, precise, and sustainable.
At MCG, the meeting between these three companies clearly reflected the essence of SFS – Smart Feed System: collaboration, innovation, and a shared drive to create real impact in the industry.
New PPS in the Hi-rEV program
Following the approval of the rescheduling request by IAPMEI, Hi-rEV enters a new phase, integrating eight new PPS, which significantly expands the consortium’s impact in the automotive components manufacturing sector.
These eight new operational blocks aim to develop new products for electric mobility, foster manufacturing digitalization, and strengthen the role of artificial intelligence and automation in industrial ecosystems.
With this step, Hi-rEV consolidates its position as a driving force in the technological and sustainable transition of the national automotive industry, in full alignment between companies, universities, and R&D centers under the PRR – Recuperar Portugal framework.
PPS: Product, Process, or Service
Within the scope of the PRR Mobilizing Agendas (Recovery and Resilience Plan), a PPS stands for “Product, Process, or Service.”
Each Mobilizing Agenda is composed of several PPS, which represent the operational blocks of the project – the concrete developments each consortium commits to delivering. A PPS can be:
- An innovative product (e.g., a new energy storage system)
- A technological process (e.g., a new automated production line)
- An advanced service (e.g., a digital platform for industrial management)
Each PPS has defined objectives, milestones, timelines, and partners, contributing directly to the overall outcomes of the respective agenda.
