Over the past 75 years, MCG has accompanied the significant transformation of the automotive sector, manufacturing components for numerous vehicles from various international brands. And even for national ones, in fact!
Among all the models with parts produced at MCG’s factories, some cars played a decisive role in the company’s history – whether by contributing to its growth or by strengthening its relationship with major automotive manufacturers.

Scania / Ebro Vans
Late 1970s – Early 1980s
The production of cabins for these vehicles marked the transition from manual work to stamping presses in Portugal.
UMM Jeep
Late 1980s – Early 1990s
A 100% Portuguese all-terrain vehicle, for which MCG produced almost all the bodywork components. UMM jeeps can still be seen on Portuguese roads today.
Ford P100
1990 - 1993
The components produced for the Ford P100 van were supplied to the Ford production plant in Azambuja, Portugal. This project played a key role in the evolution of MCG’s quality assurance system.
Opel Combo
Late 1990s – Early 2000s
These projects marked the beginning of MCG’s supply for large-scale production platforms. The components manufactured for these vehicles led to the acquisition of MCG’s first Transfer press.
