With curiosity, dedication, and a passion for continuous improvement, Henrique Anselmo has been shaping his professional journey at MCG for the past three years. Starting in the metrology laboratory and now part of the welding process engineering team at MCG Metal 1, Henrique’s path reflects growth fueled by learning and innovation.

Learning to evolve

Two years ago, MCG suggested I take a course in welding engineering, and that’s when I changed roles. I think it was an added value, a good move, because it gave me a lot of essential tools for my work and several technical skills that help me solve problems and implement improvements.

Accepting new challenges

The biggest challenge I’ve taken on at MCG is balancing what I’m doing now with studying, which requires strong time management and greater responsibility.

Operational excellence

In my work on the welding lines here at MCG, I think it has a high impact because implementing improvements and solving problems ultimately contribute significantly to ensuring higher product quality and greater customer satisfaction.

Managing welding rebonding systems, especially on the production line, is a significant responsibility because it requires excellent coordination among everyone involved. All our actions must be carefully calculated to take as little time as possible, and they require a high level of knowledge to be carried out effectively.

Improving what we do

Every day, we face new problems that always require different solutions. We always have to challenge ourselves a little to overcome them, and in doing so, we also gain more knowledge about our process, which often leads to different ways of thinking and thus enables us to improve the process a little bit every day.

Technology and AI at MCG

I think technological development is good and, above all, companies need to advance technologically to remain competitive in the market. However, it is threatening some jobs that younger generations are not interested in, which involve very repetitive work and can be replaced by technologies such as artificial intelligence.

Challenging projects

Every day, I learn something new. I am exposed to new problems across different areas within our and the team’s responsibilities, so I think I have been learning continuously since I joined MCG.

Safety First

I think the effort MCG makes to ensure that everyone works safely is remarkable. It’s something you don’t see in many companies. When we work in industry, we are generally exposed to various risks that can also cause discomfort, and I see that this doesn’t happen to most people.

Good relationships

At MCG, good relationships are cultivated because, as we work together every day, we have to know each other well and even coordinate our work, and we have to know each other well and interact with each other in order to do our jobs in the best possible way and achieve our goals.

Building the future

I foresee a promising future for MCG because it is a company that, over the years, has invested heavily in various market segments and in the training and development of its employees, as well as in technology. I think these are essential pillars for a company to be competitive and successful in today’s market.

New generations

Since I joined MCG, I have noticed that MCG has been investing more and more in younger generations, bringing in new employees who are more or less my age.

And the advice I would give to these employees and those who will join in the future is always to seek their place within MCG, because they will indeed find it, just as I did.

I would also advise them to take advantage of the knowledge within MCG to develop as professionals and to seek new knowledge to complement what already exists here at MCG.
