MCG transportation will produce the heated floor systems for 138 carriages of Alstom Coradia Stream trains that CFL will put into circulation in Luxembourg from 2021.
Starting in 2020 (and continuing production throughout 2024), the project includes the production of single and double-decker carriage floors and is based on the new heated floor technology developed by MCG transportation teams.
The system is based in ready-to-install, quick-assemble modules designed to meet the most demanding customer needs. This type of floor incorporates underfloor heating, very challenging thermal and acoustic insulation requirements, and connections between the different floor modules developed and designed to ensure a very high level of finishing.
These Alstom Coradia trains with MCG transportation floors can reach 160 km/hour and will be put into circulation in Luxembourg by CFL (Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois). The trains can be used also in neighboring countries Belgium and France.
